Live Nation To Officially Provide All-In Pricing This September

Live Nation is officially following the wishes of its customers as all their venues and festivals will provide all-in pricing beginning this September.

Many festivalgoers are familiar with getting to the checkout page only to see $20-$50 in extra and unexpected fees added to the ticket price.

But Live Nation, their concerts, venues, and festivals will soon show the full price of a ticket upfront starting this September.

Live Nation and Ticketmaster joined an industry-wide coalition earlier this year to support the FAIR Ticket Act which increases transparency and prevents scams.

These reforms include allowing artists to determine resale rules, making speculative ticket sales illegal, expanding the BOTS act that outlaws automated ticket-buying technology, cracking down on resale sites, and mandating all-in pricing.

The merger between Ticketmaster and Live Nation in 2010 has, arguably, made the partnership a concert monopoly with both parties now controlling an estimated 70% of the ticketing and live event venues market.
