The 2016/2017 era of Louis The Child is “so back” with their latest new single, “I’m Not Giving Up” ft. MEMBA, out now on Interscope Records.
A surprise drop that was just announced this week, “I’m Not Giving Up” is an ode to the original electro-pop Louis The Child sound.
“FUTURE BASS IS DEAD” is a comment MEMBA left on Louis The Child’s Instagram post announcing the release, partially as a joke, and to let fans know that high-energy, electro house is making a comeback.
“I’m Not Giving Up” is an uplifting anthem, reminding fans that they (Louis The Child and MEMBA) are not giving up on them or their signature sound. It also encourages listeners themselves to throw on this tune when they feel like giving up in life and to keep going when it gets hard.
Louis The Child were some of the pioneers of the modern dance music era, releasing household tunes such as “Better Not” with Waifa, “Slow Down Love” with Chelsea Cutler, and more. Turning on their tunes reminds us of a warm summer day with our best friends and the release of “I’m Not Giving Us” has given us the nostalgia we crave.
MEMBA’s sound also contributes a new feel to the track, giving it a more high-energy bass line. While they have recently been releasing heavier experimental bass, their contribution to “I’m Not Giving Up” leads the song to become a future festival dance anthem.
