LSDREAM and CloZee have announced that their anticipated debut album under the collaborative moniker LSZEE will arrive on September 27, 2024.
Before the self-titled LP is released in full at summer’s end, the pair of experimental bass producers will get the album rollout started this week, with the release of its first two singles, “French Dream” and “Chrysalis,” this Friday, June 7.
Back in December 2023, LSDREAM and CloZee gave fans a first glimpse into the long-rumored joint project then unveiled as PSYRYN, announcing a headline performance at Colorado’s famous Red Rocks this fall. Since renamed LSZEE after they discovered the original name had already been trademarked, the project’s story began on a studio trip to Joshua Tree in 2022.
“We tapped into the most abundant creative spark, and the music just started flowing,” the pair wrote of that first studio session in a joint statement. “We kept writing more and more songs, exploring new ideas that inspired us, and having the best time, being in awe of each other’s creativity.”
For now, the sonic contents of LSZEE are shrouded in mystery, outside of a few unreleased IDs shared by the pair on Instagram. However, LSDREAM and CloZee have confirmed that the album comprises around 20 collaborative originals, which serve as the basis for their new 90-minute LSZEE live show, set to debut at Electric Forest later this month.
Before the project’s inaugural touring run comes to a close with the Red Rocks doubleheader in October, LSDREAM and CloZee will bring LSZEE to several other high-profile festivals this summer, including Excision’s Bass Canyon and North Coast Music Festival.
Fans can pre-save LSZEE here ahead of its release on September 27.
