M.I.A.’s NFT Sells For $52,000

M.I.A.

M.I.A. auctioned off an NFT for $52,000.

M.I.A. has joined the NFT world by auctioning off her NFT this past weekend. The artist auctioned off a trio of digital art pieces titled KALA COYN, GIFTY 1, and GIFTY 2. The three art pieces were grouped into just one NFT series named, NFT GARAGE DANCE.

M.I.A.’s KALA COYN was the digital art piece that was auctioned off on Foundation (a creative playground and platform for artist, curators, and collectors) on Friday, April 9. The digital art piece was purchased by a winning bidder who bid 25 ETH (which is equivalent to $52,000.)

M.I.A. joins an already impressive list of artists who have joined the NFT space. Other artists include Don Diablo, ODESZA, Calvin Harris, and Dillon Francis, amongst others. As the NFT world continues to develop, so will its bidding prices. It will be exciting to see how NFT’s evolve, especially within the music industry.
