Fresh from unveiling their 2024 co-headline MELLODEATH Tour, Marshmello and SVDDEN DEATH have returned to tease new music.
The hard-hitting duo that famously rocked the crowd with an unprecedented back-to-back set at EDC Las Vegas in 2023 has announced that their new track, “CEREMONY,” will arrive this Friday, February 2, 2024.
Little is known about the forthcoming single, but fans can expect another mind-boggling mashup of Marshmello’s bouncy main stage style and SVDDEN DEATH’s tear-your-face-off bass, following a precedent set in previous collaborations between the two artists on tracks like “Sell Out” and “Crusade,” in addition to SVDDEN DEATH’s dubstep remix of “Happier.”
In preparation for the release, Marshmello and SVDDEN DEATH have also shared the cover artwork for “CEREMONY,” a dark and ghoulish painting by SVDDEN DEATH’s creative director Schaffer Brady–AKA 7 Black Blades–that embodies the scary good sounds fans have come to love from the pair.
The new track is sure to be a cornerstone moment in Marshmello and SVDDEN DEATH’s set on the upcoming MELLODEATH Tour, which will kick off at Red Rocks in April and make further stops in Chicago, Minneapolis and Dallas, ahead of another MELLODEATH performance at Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge in June.
