Rising dance music artist Mary Droppinz just released an exclusive Bandcamp remix of Sofi Tukker’s “Forgive Me” where all proceeds go to charity in honor of Giving Tuesday.
The remix flips the original track on its head, with a dreamy drum beat and transcendent atmosphere that perfectly accompanies the original’s haunting vocals.
It then drops into an unexpected bass-filled peak with acidic synths and chords that will drop any listener’s jaw. It’s an innovative and fresh take that will put Mary Droppinz on your list of artists to see in 2023.
All proceeds from this exclusive Bandcamp release will go towards Calling All Crows, a charity within the music industry that runs campaigns for women’s rights and safety at events, homeless outreach, child education, and more.
Mary Droppinz said about giving back via music, “I chose to donate to Calling All Crows to help shed light on and support women’s representation in the industry. There are still very few resources for women in music, alongside the issue of women making around 17% less than men on a yearly basis. I always want to take every opportunity I can to lift other underrepresented artists up.”
Mary Droppinz is no stranger to giving back to the community with her involvement in Femme House, Give a Beat, and an upcoming charity show with Social Sessions.
The Mary Droppinz remix of “Forgive Me” can be found exclusively on Bandcamp here.
