London’s very own, Mat Zo, who is known for pushing the boundaries of electronic music, has unveiled his latest masterpiece, “Closure,” out today on Anjunabeats.
This highly anticipated track takes listeners on a captivating sonic journey that combines intricate melodies, throbbing beats, and evocative storytelling.
Zo’s latest studio album, Illusion of Depth, was released on Anjunabeats in October 2020, and has garnered over eight million streams, 150k YouTube views, hundreds of national radio play-outs, and was placed in the soundtrack for the 2021 racing video game Forza Horizon 5.
When speaking about “Closure,” Zo states, “The vocal for Closure is me doing my best falsetto. I’m not a good singer, but anyone can sound good after enough takes. It took a whole day just to get it right and even then it took a lot of editing to make it sound okay.”
“Closure” showcases Zo’s exceptional ability to craft immersive soundscapes that transcend genre limitations. With its mesmerizing blend of progressive house, trance, and elements of downtempo, the track demonstrates his versatile approach to music production and his unique artistic vision.
