Italian rising star Matisa just released another jaw-dropping EP, Tongue, that embodies electronic nostalgia with modern and innovative beats.
Tongue consists of four tracks all containing elements of the heyday of club music while still leaning into the bright and emotional creativity that pushes the boundary of the genre.
“This EP is a musical journey. I wanted each track to represent a stage of this journey, from departure to take-off, peak time and closing,” says Matisa.
Every record is unique and full, with the warehouse-bound club anthem “Tongue” feeling perfectly aligned alongside the acidic, 80’s Euro-dance inspired “Sunrose.”
“Brunela” contains Latin beats and a sharp kick for an undeniably addictive flair while “Lusia” is pure, smooth, and dreamlike.
Matisa is an Italian artist whose creativity knows no bounds. A renowned producer and DJ, she has also, for the first time, lent her vocals to the Tongue EP, creating the mysterious ambiance present throughout the work.
So far this year she’s been playing gigs all over the world, including the Ibiza and Amsterdam festival circuits to open for incredible mainstays like The Martinez Brothers and Black Coffee.
