Mau P Adds Underground Touch To Groovy Armand Van Helden Classic “I Want Your Soul”

Mau P has turned a classic on its head, reworking Armand Van Helden’s groovy masterpiece “I Want Your Soul” into a bass-heavy, underground anthem.

For the first time in almost a decade, an official remix to Van Helden’s 2007 timeless staple “I Want Your Soul” has been released by none other than “Your Mind Is Dirty” producer Mau P.

Mau P’s version is a dark and industrial take on the groovy banger. The new deep, sexy bassline adds an element of cool to the cheeky horns and takes disco deep into the warehouse.

Mau P said about the release, “Being told that the ‘I Want Your Soul’ edit I made was going to become an official release was another pinch me moment. Armand Van Helden is one of my all-time heroes and ‘I Want Your Soul’ is such a classic. I must’ve played it hundreds of times at house parties and even to this day it always hits the spot. I hope I did the track justice with my version, I guess we’ll find out soon enough.”

Mau P is skyrocketing through the scene at an unprecedented pace, making his Tomorrowland debut last weekend just a year after his viral track “Drugs From Amsterdam” propelled him into the spotlight.

He will also headline an entire open-to-close event at Amsterdam Dance Event at Thuishaven for the first time on Wednesday, October 18.
