Mau P is finally giving his coveted edit of “The Less I Know The Better” an official release.
After nearly two full years of the groovy Tame Impala remix tearing up dancefloors in the Dutch house sensation’s sets from Club Space to EDC, Mau P hinted at its upcoming release in a post on Instagram today, featuring a desktop screenshot of the track’s WAV file with Tame Impala mastermind Kevin Parker looming behind it.
“I think it’s time,” Mau P—real name Maurits Westveen—captioned the post.
Though the artist has yet to confirm an official release date at the time of writing, fans will notice that the many bootleg recordings of the track, taken from his sets and subsequently rinsed on SoundCloud, have been removed from the platform, suggesting that its release is right around the corner.
When it arrives, the Tame Impala remix will mark Mau P’s first release of the year, following a busy 2024 that saw him unload hits including “BEATS FOR THE UNDERGROUND,” “On Again,” “Receipts,” with Diplo and Gunna, and his latest Defected Records heater, “MERTHER.”
On the touring front, Mau P is gearing up for a spring run that includes festival appearances at EDC Mexico, Ultra Miami, and Coachella, a debut at the Las Vegas Sphere supporting Anyma, and the first of his Wynn Nightlife residency dates in Las Vegas, among other gigs.
