Soccer fans across the globe are fired up for the 2024 UEFA European Championship football tournament in Germany this month. Now that MEDUZA have teamed up with OneRepublic and German singer-songwriter Leony to release their new single, “Fire,” the official song of UEFA EURO 2024, dance music fans should be too.
Out now via Island Records, Virgin Records, and The Cross Records, the new track brings together the Italian house trio’s anthemic sound, OneRepublic’s mesmerizing soundscapes, and Leony’s pop expertise in a sonic package that captures the spirit of the beautiful game.
“Now more than ever, the power of music to unite us all is undeniable,” MEDUZA said in a joint statement. “We’re so excited to see the release of ‘FIRE’, the official anthem for UEFA EURO 2024 and hope the song ignites the passion of football and music enthusiasts worldwide and brings them together in celebration.”
After getting its first play at MEDUZA’s “Our House” show during Miami Music Week, “Fire” has quickly become a crowd favorite in nightclubs and stadiums alike, as the excitement around EURO 2024 continues to build ahead of the championship final on July 14.
Before a winner is crowned, fans of both game-winning goals and electrifying beat drops can catch MEDUZA performing the track live at the tournament’s closing ceremony, which will be broadcast live from Berlin’s famous Olympiastadion in the moments before the final match.
The Grammy-nominated producers have also crafted a special audio experience for the final, including a series of compositions inspired by “Fire” that will enhance in-game television broadcasts, walk-on music for teams entering the pitch, and tunes for history-making moments like the trophy presentation.
