Denver, Colorado’s very own, Mersiv is on the cusp of redefining the essence of bass music with his latest album Out of Bounds.
Expanding on the massive success of his first album, Pretty Dark Loud, this latest offering isn’t just a testament to Mersiv’s personal and professional growth, but also a bold stride beyond the confines of conventional genres.
In contrast to his previous work, which delved into deeper, more melancholic tones, Out of Bounds is rooted in heavy basslines and compelling rhythms. The album explores a rich essence of styles, blending elements of hip-hop and pop.
Having recently wrapped up a sold-out headlining debut at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in April 2023, and following an extensive nationwide tour, Mersiv opens the curtain with the electrifying “I Like It When You Move.”
This isn’t just an opening track; it’s a declaration of newfound confidence and a reflection of his journey since Pretty Dark Loud, celebrated by fans and critics alike.
The album unfolds into “Bounce,” featuring Forbes and the DJ Mag-featured artist, Wreckno, followed by the eponymous “Out of Bounds.”
The journey deepens with tracks such as “Coast to Coast,” featuring industry veteran PROBCAUSE, and “Ultra Instinct,” a collaborative masterpiece with dance music stalwart Jelacee, resonating with the album’s futuristic artwork.
Since the inception of the Mersiv Sound Project in 2015, Mersiv’s trajectory has been nothing short of meteoric. Out of Bounds isn’t just another album. It’s a showcase of Mersiv’s unbridled ability with bass.
