Miami’s Famous Electric Pickle Returns At New Home This Fall

Electric Pickle Miami

The Pickle is back. Electric Pickle, the boutique nightclub that helped define Miami’s underground scene from 2009 to 2019, has a permanent home in the city once again.

After closing its famed Wynwood location seven years ago, the Pickle brand, which has been operating as a touring party series at venues around Miami and the globe, will officially set up shop at the 94th Aero Squadron with a full calendar of events this fall, following a one-off warm-up event at the venue in May.

Operating out of multiple spaces at the historic restaurant overlooking Miami International Airport, including the outdoor Pickle Patio, El Bolero, and the Tent, the Pickle will reopen its doors with a grand opening party on September 11, ahead of 18 confirmed events through New Year’s Day.

Organized by founder Will Renaurt and legendary Miami DJ Danny Daze, the new era will feature collaborative events with local outfits Un_Mute and Where Are My Keys, an afterparty for III Points, programming around Miami Art Week and Miami Music Week, and additional parties for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s, among other regular show dates. The Pickle will also host a stage at Factory Town‘s Hocus Pocus Halloween festival.

In a move away from the flashy, VIP culture that has come to define clubbing in Miami, upcoming lineups will remain a surprise until show night, as the brand asks fans to trust in the curatorial prowess that made the Pickle one of the city’s most iconic nightlife venues of the 2010s.

Before its closure, the Pickle’s intimate 300-capacity Wynwood location was a hub of Miami’s then-burgeoning nightlife scene, booking heavyweight DJs like Seth Troxler, Damian Lazarus, Optimo, DJ Harvey, and Claude VonStroke, as well as then-emerging acts on the fringes of dance, like Little Dragon, at the peak of the decade’s indie and electronic music crossover. Its doors were closed in June 2019 after organizers elected not to renew its lease.
