Miami’s Club Space Reopens This Weekend With New Safety Protocols

As Florida has lifted all COVID-19 restrictions, many bars and clubs have been cleared for reopen. For the first time since March, Club Space in Miami will open its doors this weekend to a vastly different experience. This will be the first large-scale venue in Miami to reopen since the pandemic began.

When the doors open at Club Space this weekend, there will be no crazy dance floor on the patio or in the Loft, instead the club will offer table service only by reservation. Everything you order will be brought to your table – there will be no bar service, and face coverings will be required when entering the venue or while going to the bathroom, (but they will not be required at your reserved table). Along with new sanitation protocols and social distancing guidelines, the new Space Miami set up will feature music but not all night — the party will end at 11pm.

“We are adding a ton of different plants to the terrace of all sorts — it will feel like ‘Jurassic Terrace,’ almost. We are also activating the loft. So the terrace will be a Jurassic jungle meets hippie market, and the loft, since it’s darker and has industrial vibes already, we are going to do something psychedelic there,” Coloma Kaboomsky, Space Miami Partner told the Miami New Times.

Music wise, The Martinez Brothers will play this weekend, Maceo Plex next weekend, and Claptone slated to play the weekend following. A pretty stacked lineup for the club’s return.

While this isn’t the true SPACE experience, it’s what works to meet the moment right now. Most importantly, it will allow staff to return to work. You can check out some of the details of the Grand Reopening below, but don’t hold your breath… tickets for this weekend are already sold out.
