Michael Bibi is bringing his charitable One Life show back to London this summer in support of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
The tech house icon and Solid Grooves label founder, who has roared back on the live circuit after beating CNS lymphoma—a rare form of cancer that affects the brain and spine—in December 2023, will extend his One Life comeback tour into the new year with another open-air party in the British capital, this time at the industrial docks of Silverworks Island.
Bibi will headline Broadwick Live’s 20,000-capacity outdoor venue on July 5, joined by a TBA lineup of his top house contemporaries. Once again, a percentage of all ticket and merch proceeds will be donated to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which helps finance the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust hospital where Bibi received his treatment. Fans can also make additional donations at their point of purchase.
After his One Life show at Finsbury Park last summer, the producer and DJ donated more than £120,000 (close to $150,000 USD) to the charity and encouraged attendees to join UK stem cell transplant register Anthony Nolan, having undergone a stem cell transplant as part of his treatment.
“Today I visited the Royal Marsden for my regular check-ups and to present the staff with the money we raised from the One LIfe show at Finsbury Park,” Bibi wrote on Instagram at the time. “To everyone who was part of this show, thank you for making this possible. Through dancing, we’ve directly helped others like myself and contributed to saving more lives. My heart is full, thank you.”
Taking the decks at the 2024 show just as fans watched England’s national soccer team secure its trip to the Euro semi-finals, Bibi was joined on stage by his parents and played B2B with his Solid Grooves mates PAWSA and Dennis Cruz, alongside opening performances from Chloé Caillet, Dixon, Enzo Siragusa, and Salomé Le Chat.
