Brazilian house DJ and producer Mochakk has been forced to cancel four upcoming shows this month “due to health issues.”
Today, the viral tech house artist shared the unfortunate news with a statement posted to Instagram Stories that reads in part:
“I have spent the last few days in doctors and doing exams and have been told that physiotherapy, complete rest, and further work with doctors are necessary immediately to prevent this from happening again. My body needs recovery, and I have to answer its call.”
The recovery break will impact Mochakk’s appearances this week at Chicago’s Concord Music Hall on November 16-17, Time Warp NYC on November 18, and Dreamfields Mexico on November 19.
His statement continued, “Right now, I need to focus on my health to ensure I can to this dance for a long time with all of you.”
Born Pedro Maia, Mochakk’s lively persona and high-energy sets have established him as one of house music’s most rapidly rising young stars, alongside a slate of impressive releases on top-tier labels like Nervous, Cuttin’ Headz, Black Book, and his own MOTRAXX and DOGGHAÜZ imprints.
In addition to the worldwide “Mochakk Calling” tour, his insanely busy schedule has taken him to some of the planet’s most prominent venues and festivals this year, including numerous Circoloco and Time Warp gigs, Coachella, Amsterdam Dance Event, ARC Music Festival and many more.
