MPH’s “Flex It” has finally received an official release.
After being teased on dance floors around the world for upwards of nine months, the coveted ID lands on Black Book Records today as the latest in a steady stream of raucous, bassline-driven bangers from the UK garage and bass sensation.
“Been sat on this one for a minute – gassed to finally get it out,” MPH wrote on Instagram Monday.
Earning industry-wide support from artists such as Black Book boss Chris Lake, Four Tet, John Summit, Sammy Virji, and NOTION—as well as Fred again.., Busy P, Erol Alkan, and Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter in that Parisian B4B—the track’s high-energy fusion of raw drums, bellowing bass, machine gun stabs, and chopped vocals from LA producer-vocalist Æ has seen it hailed as one of the scene’s biggest recent tunes.
“Flex It” continues a lengthy hit streak for MPH, following 2025 singles such as “Hold On” and “Raw,” his red-hot reworks of Calvin Harris’ “I’m Not Alone” and Four Tet’s “Only Human,” and his third full-length album, Substance.
On the back of heavy touring since his first sets this side of the Atlantic in early 2024, and other bass-heavy productions on leading labels like Night Bass, Black Book, and Crucast, the Cambridge, UK-hailing artist has quickly shot to stateside prominence as one of the hottest tickets and most innovative producers of UKG’s next wave.
