New World Punx are officially back and bringing things full-circle.
The big-room trance duo comprised of Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten will return for the first time since 2016 with a special reunion show in the same city where they debuted the high-powered act ten years ago.
Schulz and Corsten will play the main stage at M2 Miami, a 35,000-square-foot venue in the heart of Miami Beach, on Friday, August 18.
Earlier this week, M2 Miami posted a video to Instagram alluding to something in the works from one of the biggest collaborative projects of EDM’s golden age.
The clip showed makeshift wanted posters put up around Miami, featuring mugshots of the two producers and a message reading, “IF FOUND TEXT ‘NWP’ 305-771-0388.” The phone number of course belongs to M2 Miami catalyzing rumors about the posters.
Now the reunion gig is confirmed with Los Angeles-based techno producer Marie Vaunt and businessman-turned-DJ Tim Clark set to play in support.
Though there is no confirmation that the pair will be releasing any new music, their return to the stage as New World Punx is certainly significant.
Schulz and Corsten released four songs under the alias from 2013-2015 with “Romper,” “Torque,” “Memories” and “Bang,” all while touring clubs and festivals worldwide.
Tickets for Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten Present New World Punx are available now at M2 Miami’s official website.
