Odd Mob and Walker & Royce are the first DJs to play a set on a moving roller coaster.
Earlier this month, to mark the release of their new Insomniac Records collaboration with Benni Ola, “Can’t Say Nah,” the fan-favorite house artists and featured vocalist performed the track on board Twisted Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain in LA County.
Video of the gravity-defying performance, which used a custom-engineered AlphaTheta DJ booth built on the coaster’s front car, will be used for the official music video “Can’t Say Nah,” coming soon.
In one of dance music’s most unconventional pop-ups yet, the foursome was joined on the ride by friends, superfans, and industry supporters as the coaster ripped through twists, turns, and drops at 60 mph to the beat of the new deep tech track.
After playing bingo with the artists, fans were loaded onto the roller coaster to film two takes of the music video, before enjoying the rest of the day at the amusement park.
