ODESZA Builds Immersive Installation At The Gorge With SETUP & Snapdragon

ODESZA

ODESZA is teaming up with renowned immersive art studio SETUP and Qualcomm Snapdragon to build a monumental visual installation for the grand conclusion to their “The Last Goodbye Finale” tour at George, Washington’s famous Gorge Amphitheatre this weekend.

As a homecoming for the pair of Seattle-based producers—Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight—the three-night run from July 4-6 will mark a significant moment for both the artists and their fans, bringing an end to their most innovative musical era yet, which began with the release of their critically acclaimed album, The Last Goodbye, in 2022.

The new installation, dubbed “ECHOES,” marks one of ODESZA’s most technically ambitious projects to date, paying tribute to the Grammy-nominated duo’s groundbreaking career and their devoted fans, and exhibiting their continued commitment to technology and astonishing visuals.

Outlined in a new four-part video series from Uproxx Studios, ECHOES presents unique challenges. The immersively lit structure stretches nearly 30 feet tall and must stand up to 60 mph winds and the rugged natural environment of the venue, which overlooks the sprawling Columbia River Gorge below.

Thankfully, Qualcomm’s lightning-fast and efficient Snapdragon chip processor has helped ODESZA and SETUP—famous for their work with the likes of Skrillex, Solomun, Ben Klock, Printworks, and more—pull off the feat in just four weeks.

“We’ve always kind of wanted to build something more and give back to the fans that come out,” Knight said. “We want them to step into a new world. This installation we’re trying to build is going to be something very, very cool.”

Check out the official renderings and behind-the-scenes video below for a sneak peek at the installation and a glimpse into how full-circle themes and ODESZA’s critically acclaimed music inspired the name and innovative design elements of ECHOES.
