With the start North America’s largest dance music festival, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, just days away, Insomniac’s Pasquale Rotella took to social media to address something that’s on most minds: safety.
Following the recent terror attacks abroad, Rotella’s recent Facebook post addresses concerns head-on by saying:
We have the support of some of the finest police, fire and medical personnel in the world, along with various other government agencies, and by working together we will provide a safe and magical environment for all.
The post goes on to emphasize vigilance, and the “if you see something, say something” message, which is of utmost importance during this large-scale event. It’s something we’d like to reiterate as well — if you see anything suspicious, go with your gut instinct. You never know what might happen if you don’t report suspicious activity. Keep an eye and ear out for everything!
Rotella also states that they have activated “the appropriate security measures at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway” and that guests will be required to show their wristband at various points throughout the venue.
While there’s tons of info Rotella isn’t divulging, you can expect that a high profile event like this will get all available resources to ensure a safe and smooth experience.
Please keep all of this in mind as you head out to Vegas next week for EDC, and be sure review the prohibited items list prior to arriving at the venue.
