PEEKABOO has released an official remix package for Eyes Wide Open, featuring some of modern bass music’s fastest-rising stars.
Out now via Create Music Group, Eyes Wide Open (Remixes) expands on the Detroit-raised bass maestro’s acclaimed debut LP, with guest remixes for five of the album’s lynchpin tracks provided by Tape B, LYNY, Jon Casey, borne, and Phrva.
Tape B’s “Like That” remix kicks off the package in style with an even grittier rework of the already wubby original from PEEKABOO and LYNY, before the latter Chicago-based artist returns with a deep dub remake of the hip-hop-influenced “Bumpin’.”
Later on, veteran trap artist Jon Casey delivers a bouncy remix of PEEKABOO’s prized Zeds Dead collaboration, “Scared,” which gives way to high-energy drum & bass sounds on borne’s “I’ve Been Thinking” remix and syncopated rhythms on Phrva’s “Dope” remix to close out the EP.
Melding minimal 140-BPM dubstep, trap, and hip-hop, PEEKABOO’s 14-track Eyes Wide Open was released in November 2023, and features tracks like “All I Need Is Bass,” “Going Insane” with Grabbitz, and the fan-favorite “BADDERS” with Flowdan, Skrillex and G-Rex, in addition to the originals selected for remixes above.
In April, PEEKABOO wrapped up his 37-date “Eyes Wide Open World Tour.” This summer, he’ll headline Nashville’s Deep Tropics festival in August before another anticipated headline gig at Denver’s Mission Ballroom in September.
