The Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas just announced several of the artists who will perform over race weekend for one of the most highly anticipated events of 2023.
The festivities begin Thursday, November 16, with producer and creative Mark Ronson who is known for producing the massive 2015 track “Uptown Funk” with Bruno Mars as well as his composition work with superstars like Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Paul McCartney, and more.
Friday is all electronic as A-Trak opens before Major Lazer performs at a stage in front of the MSG Sphere, a new $1.8 billion globe-shaped venue expected to open in 2023 with an outdoor programmable LED screen, a capacity of 17,500, and the highest resolution screen in the world.
Finally, the Grammy Award winner J. Balvin will headline on Saturday bringing Latin flare to the international F1 crowd.
The new Grand Prix in Las Vegas is the debut of Formula 1 in Sin City, expected to bring in over one billion dollars to the area, double the impact of the Super Bowl in 2024.
But such a monumental event is not without its issues as paving for the race along the strip has strategically shut down roads since April and will continue into September causing immense traffic.
But there could be more electronic music announcements coming soon as all the way back in August 2022, Insomniac confirmed they would be partnering with F1 and Live Nation to bring music to the race lovers in Vegas.
