Pig&Dan have been redefining the genre of techno for over 20 years and to celebrate, they just released an anniversary album entitled 20 Years: Pig&Dan.
The LP has 20 tracks each representing a year of the duo’s career. Filled with both hard-hitting and minimal pieces, the album cycles through futuristic reworks and acidic 90s-inspired fresh takes.
The duo said about the compilation, “The project features an array of fresh unreleased productions that hold a sound we hope represents our progression over the last two decades. We’ve also included a cheeky selection of new, updated 2022 versions of some of our more celebrated productions from over the last 20 years of musical madness. For us, this is more of a statement than an album, hence the fact there’s a track that represents every year on this journey.”
Pig&Dan are legends in the techno industry and have made their name off of a creative sound uninspired by the trends around them. Their DJ skills are also well known, crafting non-linear sets focused on dynamics and the art of the journey as well as authentic production.
Key to their authentic production and sound are their carefully chosen collaborators including Victor Ruiz, Adam Beyer, and Jay Tripwire.
