Following a series of cryptic teasers online, Porter Robinson has announced his long-awaited third album.
Robinson sent his loyal fans into a frenzy on Thursday, uploading a short documentary-style YouTube video titled “The Day Porter Robinson Deleted All His Music.”
Set in the future, the video features an unnamed narrator who facetiously discusses how March 1, 2024, marked the producer’s “disappearance” from the music world. Much to the fans’ relief, Robinson never removed his catalog of 51 songs from streaming platforms.
After wiping his Instagram page, the “Shelter” producer took to social media, writing, “The album is done,” helping to explain an additionally cryptic countdown clock on his website.
Robinson’s forthcoming album will mark his first full-length LP since 2021’s Nurture, a beloved follow-up to his 2014 debut album Worlds, which features hit tracks like “Sad Machine,” “Divinity” with Amy Millan, and “Goodbye To A World.”
Robinson has yet to announce the new project’s title or release date. However, the artist unveiled a new logo, branding, and a hyper pop-infused teaser clip for the album on Saturday. Find Robinson’s new music teaser video below.
