Portola is back with another massive run of city-wide festival pre-parties and afters.
Before, during, and after Goldenvoice’s two-night wharf rave returns to San Francisco’s Pier 80, Portola Week will take over the Bay with 15 shows across the city from Thursday, September 24, to Sunday, September 27.
The four-night run kicks off with Belgian dance-punk legends Soulwax at the Regency Ballroom and a special program from Black Rave Culture and Program Audio at Club Six on September 24, before Portola’s party people flock to Pier 80 for the festival’s 5th Birthday DESPACIO Extravaganza on September 25.
DESPACIO, the high-powered custom-built sound system designed by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, the Dewaele brothers of 2manydjs and Soulwax, and sound engineer John Klett, will open one night early to celebrate the festival’s fifth anniversary with a six-hour session exclusively for Portola lifers. Tickets are only available to Portola 2026 passholders who have attended the festival every year since its first edition in 2022. Tickets go on sale today, Wednesday, August 19, at 12PM PT.
Across the rest of Portola Week, San Francisco music lovers can catch performances from Sam Alfred, 2manydjs, Overmono, Ben UFO, Silva Bumpa, Dean Turnley, Fcukers, Chloé Caillet, horsegiirL, VTSS, Two Shell, SG Lewis, Fatboy Slim, Azzecca, Groove Armada, Max Styler, jigitz, Channel Tres, Jyoty, and Gelli Haha, as well as an instrumental showing from Aussie electropop favorites Parcels, among others.
