Revolution EDM’s Game-Night-Style Event, HI-MID-LO, To Debut In San Diego This Weekend

Revolution EDM

San Diego’s Revolution EDM is bringing family game night to the dancefloor this weekend with its new flagship event series, HI-MID-LO.

Billed as “San Diego’s first interactive music experience,” the burgeoning promoter’s new house and techno party series will debut at the South Promenade at Liberty Station this Saturday, November 16, piloting a unique performance format that’s part collaborative DJ game show, part sober rave, and part charity event.

The one-of-a-kind sunset party will see Chicago house legend Gene Farris, Los Angeles staple Lucati, and San Diego up-and-comers Deezy and RozálesD collaborate for the crowd’s attention in a family-game-night-style B4B.

The revolutionary performance format invites each of the four participating DJs to combine their tracklists on one USB. After declaring a charity they’ll be playing for, each artist is assigned a colored token, and a host draws tokens at random to determine the first artist to begin mixing.

Each DJ then takes turns mixing in randomly assigned, eight-minute intervals, with no repeat tracks allowed. At the end of three 33-minute rounds, the crowd will vote for the artist they feel they connected with most via Revolution’s trademarked “EDM Interactive” platform, and the winner’s charity will see their donation—made by the promoter—doubled.

Every artist also gets a chance to showcase their style in their own solo sets on either end of the main event, and all artist’s charities will receive their donations in full regardless of the game’s outcome.

All of this will go down in a “zero proof” environment from 3PM to 10PM, where HI-MID-LO attendees can sip mocktail beverages from a compelling bar menu crafted by expert mixologists, grab gourmet bites from top area restaurant partners, and grab a good night’s sleep—or hit the club—once it’s all said and done.
