Riordan & Stanton Warriors Share Black Book Records Heater, “Bring Me Down”

House and UK garage wunderkind Riordan has released his new single, “Bring Me Down.”

A collaborative effort with veteran DJ duo Stanton Warriors, the track arrives today on Chris Lake’s Black Book Records, marking the rising producer’s first release on the venerated tech house imprint.

After opening with shuffled rhythms and a delightfully hazy synth wash, rapid hi-hats push the tempo on “Bring Me Down,” building tension before dropping into a bounding UKG groove, punctuated by deep reese basslines, as the track’s soulful vocal sample is pitched-up and looped into a euphoric and seemingly eternal scream.

Astute listeners will recognize the track from Chris Lake’s recent late-night performance at Bonnaroo. As the story goes, a few weeks ago, Riordan sent the then-unreleased demo track to Lake. After doing bits in the house icon’s set on The Farm, an official release on Black Book was in order.

“Bring Me Down,” is just the latest in a string of bassline-heavy club cuts from Riordan. Hailing from the South Coast of the UK, the lockdown-born producer and DJ burst onto the scene late last year with his UKG-inspired single “Needle On The Record,” which grabbed the No. 1 spot in Beatport’s Top 10 chart upon its release on Gorgon City’s REALM imprint in November 2023.

More hot tracks have followed, including an official remix for Eliza Rose and Calvin Harris’ “Body Moving” and his Insomniac Records debut, “While The Record Spins”—bolstering a burgeoning catalog that also includes his self-released hit “Reflection” and “La Samba” with Wax Motif on NYC’s famous Nervous Records.

Following landmark performances at Miami Music Week and EDC Las Vegas this past spring, Riordan is set to embark on his debut North American headline tour this summer, touching down in cities like Los Angeles, Vancouver, Miami, and Brooklyn before a huge gig at Chicago’s ARC Music Festival in September.
