RL Grime’s annual Halloween mix has arrived just in time for today’s haunting holiday.
The renowned trap producer has once again given fans a dastardly treat with Halloween XII, the 12th edition of his beloved Halloween mix series, choc-full of spooky-good beats and unreleased tracks.
With a runtime of just over an hour, this year’s mix fittingly begins with Pooh Shiesty and Lil Durk’s “Back In Blood,” before weaving through a maze of IDs and remixes from artists on RL Grime’s Sable Valley label, including Juelz, Deadcrow, Oddly Godly, Sublab and more.
Other notable tracks include Skrillex, PEEKABOO, G-Rex, and Flowdan’s “Badders,” a Control Freak remix of Swedish House Mafia’s “It Gets Better” and a Hamdi remix of trending rapper Sexyy Red’s “SkeeYee.”
RL Grime (real name Henry Steinway) also debuted the first remix from his new three-part album PLAY, finishing Halloween XII strong with a rework of “Pour Your Heart Out (feat. 070 Shake)” from WINK.
Though previous editions of the famed mix have included introductions from high-profile special guests like Bill Nye, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Guy Fieri and Shaq, this year Grime handled the pre-mix hype himself, adding lightheartedly, “Also, we couldn’t get anyone famous to do it.”
Steinway is currently on tour in support of his third studio album, PLAY, which arrived last month on Sable Valley Records. The prolific producer will play an epic Halloween night show at Denver’s Mission Ballroom, before touching down in other major cities like Chicago, NYC, Atlanta, and Austin later this month.
