RL Grime is taking his Sable Valley label on the road for a U.S. tour this fall.
The trap pioneer and label boss will deliver seven headline performances as part of Sable Valley’s 2024 “Touching Grass Tour,” which kicks off at The Eastern in Atlanta on August 30.
Produced in collaboration with Los Angeles party outfit Brownies & Lemonade, the run includes additional stops at Denver’s Mission Ballroom, Washington, D.C.’s Echostage, and Chicago’s Radius, among others, before coming to a close at Silo in Dallas on October 25. RL Grime will be joined on select dates by several leading members of Sable Valley’s talent-rich cohort, representing an array of electronic sounds from trap and bass house to dubstep and trench. Those along for the ride include longtime RL Grime collaborator and B2B partner Baauer, Control Freak, Deadcrow, Eliminate, Godlands, Moore Kismet, nikko, ROSSY, Wavedash, and WINK, plus surprise special guests.
After self-releasing his rip-roaring debut LP, VOID, and its acclaimed follow-up, NOVA, which featured colossal hits like “Light Me Up” and “UCLA,” RL Grime—real name Henry Steinway—founded Sable Valley in 2019.
In the time since, RL Grime has used the imprint to spotlight the next generation of trap music greats, and it’s provided a home for his landmark releases, including a massive return to long-play format in 2023 with his three-part album, PLAY.
Genre frontrunners like Jon Casey, Pauline Herr, Montell2099, JAWNS, and more have released on Sable Valley through the years, in addition to the above artists on tour. The label also helped launch the now chart-topping careers of RL Grime proteges ISOxo and Knock2, and Juelz is the latest artist to find burgeoning success with Sable Valley.
Last month, RL Grime linked up with ISOxo and Knock2—under their duo alias ISOKNOCK—to release their debut collaboration, “SMACK TALK.”
