Rolling Loud Announces Expansion To India

Rolling Loud

Rolling Loud is coming to India.

The world’s largest hip-hop festival unveiled plans for a debut two-day edition in Mumbai on social media last week. Dates, a venue, and lineup are still under wraps at the time of writing, but organizers have promised “epic performances, surprise guests, exclusive merch and immersive experiences that bring the Indian hip-hop community together,” according to the festival’s official website.

Adding to active editions in Southern California, Miami, and Thailand, the India move marks Rolling Loud’s eighth new international market, following other previous expansions to Canada, Portugal, Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands. They’ll partner with local music discovery and booking app District by Zomato as the exclusive ticket seller and producer for the Indian debut.

“We never imagined Rolling Loud would take us all the way to India—it’s incredible,” Rolling Loud co-founders and co-CEOs Matt Zingler and Tariq Charif said in a joint statement. “The hip-hop scene in India has been booming, and bringing the festival to Mumbai felt like the right decision.”

They continued: “We’re excited to create a space where Indian fans can celebrate the artists they love, while also introducing international acts to a new audience. For us, it’s always been about building community through hip-hop—and we can’t wait to experience how India shows up.”

Fans can also expect two unique stages, local food and drink options, art installations, and activations that celebrate both global and Indian hip-hop culture. Since its launch in Miami in 2015, previous editions of Rolling Loud have welcomed performances from Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Future, A$AP Rocky, Cardi B, and many more.
