The flights will take off from Sweden, Norway, and Denmark with 30 seats available on Heart Aeropace’s ES-30 aircraft. The aircraft operates at zero emissions at airports, on routes up to 200 km, and on routes beyond 200 km as the battery evolves throughout the years leading up to their flights.
The flight cost is a tribute to the year Scandinavian Airlines was founded at 1,946 Swedish kronor (around $187). Those who manage to snag seats on these groundbreaking flights also won’t have to pay until 30 days before the flight date.
Eviation’s planes are zero-emission, run by all-electric technology, quieter than a combustion engine, and require less maintenance than a traditional engine.
Eviation may become one of the first fully-electric carriers as it plans to begin selling planes to buyers in 2026 for regular takeoffs by 2027.
The dates and the routes for the Scandinavian Airlines electric flights have not been announced yet, but registration to book will open at 6AM EDT on Friday, June 9.
