Shabang Festival Brings Chris Lake & The Backseat Lovers To San Luis Obispo For 2026

Shabang Festival

Shabang Music Festival has unveiled its full lineup for 2026.

The grassroots festival is back at the picturesque Dairy Creek Golf Course in San Luis Obispo for its 12th edition on May 2-3, bringing another dynamic mix of indie, alternative, and electronic talent to California’s Central Coast.

This year’s Shabang is headlined by UK tech house icon Chris Lake and fan-favorite indie rock four-piece The Backseat Lovers, joined by surging alt-pop duo Magdalena Bay and a TBA artist in the special guest slots.

Elsewhere on the bill, fans can catch a variety of electronic grooves from Fcukers, Jackie Hollander, Fallon, DJ Mandy, Dillon Nathaniel, and WELKER, plus an array of fan-favorite indie acts, such as INJI, Chezile, TOPS, Annie Dirusso, Natalie Bergman, Soraya, Mexican Slum Rats, and more.

Beyond music, the two-night camping event is known for its signature blend of creativity and community, encompassing interactive art installations, wellness offerings such as yoga and workshops, and curated local food and beverage vendors.

Shabang began in 2014 after three then-college students at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo decided to throw one “last shabang” for 20 of their music-loving friends. Today, the West Coast weekender attracts over ten thousand attendees each year.

Tickets for Shabang 2026 go on sale this Tuesday, February 24, at 11AM PST.
