SIPPY Drops Rare Live Recording Of Debut Album, ‘Scars In Stereo’

SIPPY

One year on from the release of her debut album, SIPPY just dropped a rare live recording of Scars In Stereo.

Filmed in her family home in Australia, the 20-minute session reimagines the bass dynamo’s deeply personal first LP with live keys, drums, and vocals, performed in front of SIPPY’s family, who were there to share in the moment.

The living room recording is a rare, stripped-back reinterpretation in modern bass music, a scene built on the high-energy festival drops SIPPY is known for, giving fans a new perspective on the album, accompanied by in-depth explanations of the tracks and writing process from the artist herself.

Featuring popular tracks such as “Wide Awake” and “Killa,” Scars In Stereo arrived on Deadbeats in October 2025. A remix album for the 11-track project was released last week.

Discussing the album with Maniac Magazine last year, the producer and DJ—born Laura Patterson—said: “I have a lot of emotions. I use music to process emotions, and I was writing a lot of music around that, but I wasn’t putting it out. I felt like it didn’t tie in with my silly goose stuff. There was a time when I felt like people only wanted that side of me.”

“I got to a point where it wasn’t about my career, it was about me and my own journey,” she continued. “I had done so much in coming over here, and I finally felt some form of equilibrium where I felt at peace and present in the moment. I had all of these heavily emotional songs that I had written over time, but that was the past, and it felt like time to move on. I felt I needed to put a solid bookend on it, though, to fully move on.”
