Two legends in dance music, Skream and Boys Noize, just released a genre-bending collaboration entitled “Trip” that is sure to become an instant classic.
“Trip” was originally created in 2020 for Danny Howard’s BBC Radio 1 Lockdown Link-Up series and takes the listener on a journey of club music.
The track is IDM-heavy with a psychedelic intro that leads into a synth-driven build-up before dropping into a booming beat. The song’s genre is hard to define as it slows down and picks up without losing its house inspiration.
Boys Noize is a legendary Berlin-based DJ and producer with an enduring sound that has graced the stages of clubs all over the world. He founded his own label in 2005, Boys Noize Records, which he uses to drop his own music with complete creative freedom.
Skream is one of the UK’s most respected names having spun records since the age of 11 and is credited as one of the pioneers of dubstep. His consistency is commendable, constantly pushing out new records and collaborations of all genres in a genuine and innovative way.
