Electronic music legends and innovators Skrillex and Boys Noize have once again teamed up for a high-energy release, this time for their rework of a dance classic titled “Fine Day Anthem.”
The track samples the well-recognized chorus of the 1992 electronic staple “It’s a Fine Day” by Opus III, often heard mixed into hardstyle or techno sets.
The rework adds an element of mystery to the already ominous vocal before dropping into a bouncy, booty-shaking beat full of high-pitched synths and short piano melodies.
The track has been highly anticipated with fans demanding the groovy house piece after hearing it rinsed in Skrillex’s sets over the past year.
It’s important to note that the collaboration is not an official release from the Boys Noize and Skrillex side project Dog Blood, known for its innovative samples and mixing as seen on their most recent release, a 2019 EP called Turn Off The Lights.
Their track “Midnight Hour” with Ty Dolla $ign is another example of the duo’s ability to churn out bangers with the single reaching over 40 million listens on Spotify.
