Skrillex is bringing his own festival to Berlin.
The electronic icon today unveiled the full lineup for Contra, a new two-night, artist-curated event bringing a gauntlet of club stalwarts, experimental sounds, and live acts to the city’s famous Kraftwerk Berlin on May 30-31.
Alongside Skrillex’s headline set on night one, the event taps top-billed contemporaries such as UK underground techno favorite Blawan, San Diego bass house and trap star Knock2, and a special performance from Palestinian singer-songwriter and “XENA” vocalist Nai Barghouti, joined by Thys and Péter Somos. Night two invites headline performances from Swedish alt-rap favorite Bladee and fellow Drain Gang members Ecco2k and Mechatok (who is slated for a collaborative set with Japanese rapper Tohji), as well as a rare performance from legendary hip-hop producer BNYX.
The rest of the lineup is stacked with revered and elusive names from Skrillex’s sonic universe, such as Ahadadream, Juliana Huxtable, Naisha, DJ Lag, Flowdan, Hamdi, ISOxo, Tatyana Jane, Sarz, Wallis, Crystallmess, and many more. High-profile B2Bs come from DJ Babatr & DJ Deep RH, RHR B2B Nick León, Vigro Deep B2B Batu, and a live-meets-DJ set from Upsammy and Valentina Magaletti.
