Skrillex has shared a snippet of new music with fans in a surprise email.
The electronic music icon yesterday sent a 60 second clip of an unreleased track to fans who had signed up to receive email marketing from the artist. Its title, “Bibi’s Tower,” has since sparked speculation that it is a collaboration with singer-songwriter Bibi Bourelly, who previously worked with Skrillex on his 2023 tracks “Don’t Get Too Close” and “Still Here.”
The email, which came from an email address linked to his currently defunct OWSLA label collective, was accompanied by the message: “Just testing to see if I can send mp3s through here – let me know if it works!”
It remains unknown when the mystery track is slated for release, and whether it’s part of a forthcoming album. Skrillex is rumored to have at least two albums in the works, and sounded off on social media at the turn of the year, discussing his future as an independent and dropping teasers for new music and an OWSLA revival.
Coinciding with the email, Skrillex—real name Sonny Moore—returned to X, sharing that though his team previously handled fan communications, “I’ve got control of my website/email address now, so I can start sending stuff any time I want!”
Yesterday, Ultra Miami confirmed Skrillex’s previously leaked—by Sonny himself—headline return to the festival next month. The set will mark his first solo performance at Ultra Miami in a decade.
