After Years In The Making, SLANDER Announce Curated Starbase Festival

Starbase Festival

SLANDER’s curated Starbase festival is finally cleared for launch.

The fan-favorite melodic bass duo has today announced Starbase, its very own two-day camping festival in collaboration with powerhouse rave promoter Insomniac, coming to Lake Perris, California, this April 25-26, 2025.

The event will honor SLANDER’s community of fans, fusing their “signature melodic and bass sounds with Insomniac’s world-class event production,” according to a press release, and embodying the Grammy-nominated duo’s sonic flavor with a hand-picked lineup of 39 artists, plus five scheduled sets from the festival hosts.

This includes a solo set, B2B performances with NGHTMRE and Dimension, and two lakeside techno sunrise sets under their prolific side project, Before Dawn. Better yet, zero set time conflicts mean fans can see every artist on the lineup if they so choose.

Elsewhere, attendees can headbang with dubstep heavyweights like Kill The Noise, Space Laces, PhaseOne, and a performance from SVDDEN DEATH’s harrowing VOYD alias, get in their feels with melodic bass artists like William Black, Trivecta, and Fairlane, and check out surging selectors like A Hundred Drums, FrostTop, Vastive, Moody Good B2B Chee, and more.

Keeping with the theme, plenty of top-notch underground techno artists will be on hand to keep the party going until sunrise each morning at the festival’s lakeside afterparties. Check out the full lineup below.

Set to debut in an intimate, limited-capacity setting at Lake Perris, Starbase was inspired by SLANDER’s many visits to the playa of Burning Man, according to a press release, and its official unveiling has been years in the making.

After SLANDER—comprising Los Angeles-based producers Derek Andersen and Scott Land—made waves with an initial festival announcement in 2021, its first edition, set to host Alison Wonderland, San Holo, Subtronics, NGHTMRE, Big Gigantic, and more in South Carolina, was canceled in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, after months of online teasers, it’s finally time to blast off.

Pre-sale registration for SLANDER presents Starbase is now open here. Pre-sale ticket access will begin on Wednesday, December 18, at 10AM PT. General on-sale will follow on Thursday, December 19, at 10AM PT.
