Two of electronic music’s most iconic artists are set to link up in Malmö, Sweden, as the city’s new Dream Park festival has unveiled a groundbreaking B2B performance from Solomun and Steve Angello.
The respective minimal and progressive house legends will headline the festival’s inaugural edition with a three-hour set on August 2, Dream Park organizers announced on Instagram today.
The performance will mark Solomun and Angello’s first collaborative performance since the Swedish House Mafia member joined the Ibiza legend for his famous Solomun +1 residency at Pacha Ibiza in 2023.
Having helmed the B2B-centric club night since 2013, Solomun is no stranger to collaborative performances. However, the Dream Park gig will see both artists continue a trend of respectively monumental B2B performances over the last year.
Throughout 2024, Solomun shared the decks with the likes of Four Tet at Tomorrowland Belgium, Dom Dolla at a Melbourne warehouse, and Patrick Topping at Creamfields, while Angello also played B2B with Disclosure’s Guy Lawrence at the British festival’s 2024 edition.
Last week, Solomun linked up with Damian Lazarus and Michael Bibi for another collaborative set at Lazarus’ Day Zero festival in Tulum, and in March, he’s slated for an exclusive B2B with Anyma at Ultra Miami.
Dream Park, which is notably produced by Angello’s longtime manager Ali Eftekhari under his Big Slap festival brand, will run from August 1-2 at Malmö’s Tallriken park. Other confirmed artists so far include Nigerian Afrobeat artist Rema and Swedish rapper Ant Wan.
Speaking to Swedish news outlet Sydsvenskan, Eftekhari said fans can expect the festival to feature a mix of Swedish and international acts across two stages, with hip-hop, urban music, and afrobeat on night one, followed by EDM on night two.
Tickets for Dream Park 2025 will go on sale here this Friday, January 24, at 9AM local time. For more information, visit dreamparkfestival.se.
