Barcelona’s Sónar Festival has announced the first 66 artists set to play its 32nd edition this summer.
Returning to the Catalan capital from June 12-14, 2025, the festival will again be split between two historic venues: Sónar by Day will be held at the city’s famous Fira Montjuïc, and Sónar by Night will return to Fira Gran Via L’Hospitalet.
Leading Sónar’s esteemed class of artists in 2025 is Richie Hawtin, who will perform under his pioneering Plastikman alias for the first time since 2014. He’ll be joined by Argentinian innovator Nathy Peluso, fresh from a triple-Latin-Grammy win, as well as progressive legend Eric Prydz, Bicep—presenting their CHROMA A/V show—Welsh rave duo Overmono, and a live album performance from Spanish stalwart Cora Novoa.
Alongside further audiovisual shows from surging avant-garde artists Arca and Max Cooper, attendees can catch clubland heroes like Honey Dijon, Peggy Gou, Four Tet, Helena Hauff, and Sama’ Abdulhadi, and fresh-faced stars like Barry Can’t Swim, Mochakk, Interplanetary Criminal, and DJ Heartstring.
Sónar’s 2025 lineup also boasts several anticipated back-to-back sets, including Skrillex B2B Blawan and a debut collaborative performance from trance legend Armin van Buuren and psy-techno queen Indira Paganotto. Check out the full lineup below.
In addition to its famously extensive run of cutting-edge DJ sets and live acts, Sónar’s technology and creativity conference, Sónar+D, will return with a focus on the important role of technology, its social impact, and its potential to shape the future of art and entertainment.
Ahead of Sónar’s flagship event in Barcelona, Sónar Lisbon will return to the Portuguese capital for its fourth edition from April 11-13, 2025. The festival will also be held in Istanbul for the ninth time from May 9-10, 2025.
