Spencer Brown is digging into his dance floor roots, releasing a new two-track EP on his record label, Diviine Records. As an artist who refuses to be boxed into any genre, these two dance-floor-driven tracks stand out and prove Brown’s production ability.
“Ladies Love LFOS” starts the EP off strong, using synthesizers and minimal house beats to create a track that the ladies (and everyone) love. Utilizing the keyboard to create an extremely catchy beat, the song without words speaks for itself.
“Fellas” is the dichotomy of the first song in the EP, as it is a much darker track. Utilizing a jungle house beat, creative breaks, and synthesizers within the track, “Fellas” gives off a vibe of the movie The Matrix.
The EP’s artwork was created by Bennett Sell-Kline, a creative from LA, who brings the track to life with an epic city at nighttime backdrop and album cover.
Brown is an artist fueled by creating art and has been vocal about the fight with his ego when making music. In an Instagram post made a few months back, Brown stated, “When you think you are reaching some sort of mastery, you realize how much better you can get.”
He continued, “Getting comfortable is a good way to get bored and go insane. It’s this never-ending quest that keeps me chugging.” This EP proves he is progressing in his art and showcases how a dance floor tune can sound unique in 2024.
