Steller has unveiled her debut headline tour with a good cause.
The South Florida-hailing experimental bass starlet will bring her deep bag of wobbly dubstep tunes and all-new visual production to 19 North American cities this spring on her headline “Here & Now” tour, Steller announced on social media today.
The run will open in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on April 11 before heading to locales like Denver, Washington, D.C., Detroit, Salt Lake City, Austin, Toronto, Atlanta, Tampa, and more through June 28. She’ll also make festival appearances at EDC Las Vegas and Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge.
Support performances will come from experimental bass artists AG, Gardella, and Mocha on select dates. More shows will be announced in the coming weeks. Check out the full list below.
“Announcing this is truly a dream come true and the accumulation of everything I’ve been working towards & putting my soul into for so long,” Steller wrote on Instagram today. “I’m SO excited to bring you new music, new visuals and allllll the energy.”
The producer and DJ—real name Angelica Bafitis—also announced that she will partner with suicide prevention charity To Write Love On Her Arms throughout the tour in an effort to break stigmas about mental health.
“I know how hard it can be to ask for help, or even who to ask, and I want these shows to be a safe space where we can uplift each other, feel present, & cultivate a supportive community,” she wrote.
Over the last year, Steller has affirmed her place at the top of the United States’ surging experimental bass scene across several high-profile festival appearances and sine-bass-heavy productions like “Rhythm of Life” with Zingara, her FUNKSTEP! EP, and her latest release, a wonky remix of Maddy O’Neal’s “I Wanna Know.”
