Steve Aoki And Afrojack Share First Afroki Release, “Everything You Do”

After a decade of friendship and countless studio sessions, Steve Aoki and Afrojack have united to share “Everything You Do,” their first official release under the collaborative moniker Afroki.

The single, which features poignant vocals from Aviella, builds on a sonic precedent set in their other previous collaborative releases: “No Beef” and the namesake track “Afroki,” which featured on Aoki’s 2014 album Neon Future I.

“Everything You Do” stands as an excellent unification of Aoki and Afrojack’s two distinct styles, combining the Grammy-nominated Aoki’s high-energy, genre-melding production with Afrojack’s Dutch Big Room prestige in one melodically emotive package. The track has captivated both established artists’ respective fanbases and new converts alike.

“After years of friendship and mutual respect, we’re thrilled to finally share our collaborative vision with the world,” the two producers shared in a joint statement. “‘Everything You Do’ is just the beginning of what Afroki has in store, and we can’t wait for fans to experience the energy and emotion we’ve poured into this track.”

With the Afroki project now officially taking shape, the joint release via Aoki’s Dim Mak and Afrojack’s WALL Recordings is making noise not only on their own acclaimed labels, but also on a third imprint, the groundbreaking new label Golden Era.

Spearheaded by Proximity, the collaborative endeavor will pay homage to EDM’s oft-heralded “golden age,” frequently defined as the years between 2009 and 2015, as well as spotlight new and innovative artists.
