Subtronics and LEVEL UP have announced an official collaborative release for the first time ever.
Dubstep’s favorite power couple will drop their new single, “POWER,” on Subtronics’ own Cyclops Recordings label this Friday, September 27, marking the end of a long wait for the leading bass music pair and husband-wife duo’s first track as “LEVELTRONICS.”
Subtronics and LEVEL UP, who were married in October 2023, have linked up with highly-touted producer-vocalist Grabbitz on the track, which follows the respective releases of LEVEL UP’s “Ashes” featuring Rory Hope and Subtronics’ high-powered “Gas Pedal Remix” with John Summit and Tape B earlier this year.
The announcement lands on the heels of another huge run of performances for both artists at Excision’s famous Lost Lands festival last weekend.
LEVEL UP brought her harrowing dubstep cuts to the event’s massive main stage for the first time in her career, while Subtronics delivered another anything-goes freeform bass performance at sunset. Later, the sound design wizard also linked up with fellow genre titans Wooli and SVDDEN DEATH for a B3B with their house aliases Stumpi and DEADROOM.
Alongside the release of “POWER,” Subtronics and LEVEL UP will roll out new joint LEVELTRONICS merch, which mashes up their beloved cyclops and seance-themed branding and visuals on jerseys and pashminas.
