CRSSD Festival is back this weekend, March 13-15, summoning house and techno lovers back to Waterfront Park for local promoter FNGRS CRSSD’s twice-yearly celebration along the shimmering San Diego Bay.
With the arrival of daylight savings, Southern California’s coveted golden hour returns, with sunsets stretching later into the evening. Forecasts show the sun will slip below the Pacific horizon around 6:55PM at the festival, casting Waterfront Park in amber light and adding even more ambiance to the oceanfront experience.
Across the festival’s three stages—The Palms, City Steps, and Ocean View—six sunset sets will soundtrack the golden hour, each bringing its own sonic experience as day turns to night.
To guide you to the perfect dance floor as the sun goes down, we’ve mapped the sunset sets that will make you feel something at CRSSD Spring 2026.

Saturday
jigitz
5:45-6:30PM – Ocean View
Sunsets and UKG’s silky drums are a match made in heaven, and Brooklyn’s jigitz is bringing it to Ocean View, a stage that perfectly frames sights of the setting sun on the water.
Across a catalog flowing with heart-wrenching vocals and deep rolling basslines, jigitz’s tunes invite you to let the sound wash over you and let your worries drift away with the tide. When “tell you straight” drops and the crowd erupts, we may just shed a tear.
Ida Engberg
5:45-6:30PM- City Steps
Craving some dark, moody techno? Ida Engberg has been spinning vinyl since her school days, and nearly two decades into her career, she knows exactly how to move a crowd.
Conjuring shadowy dance floors filled with darkly clothed but warm-demeanored techno lovers, the Swedish powerhouse will have you locked in at the City Steps. As she journeys through waves of mesmerizing track selections, it’s nearly impossible to resist Engberg’s spell. Her set at CRSSD offers the perfect day-into-night moment: as the moon rises, you’ll be riding the high of her dark, hypnotic sound, ready for the night ahead.
Franky Rizardo
5-6:30PM – The Palms
Dutch mainstay Franky Rizardo weaves house and techno into a feel-good dancefloor journey that’s impossible to resist—balancing deep, hypnotic rhythms with high-energy bursts and encouraging dancers to move in unison.
From the first track to the last, Rizardo’s sets wrap the crowd in music in a way that makes strangers feel like longtime friends. By the time his set reaches its peak, you’ll be smiling, spinning, and fully immersed in the moment, carried by waves of melody and groove. When he drops his iconic track “Don’t You Want My Love,” everyone else at the Palms Stage will be feeling it too. You won’t just leave with memories—you’ll be part of a new family of dancers, united by music and movement.
Sunday
Cut Copy
5:30-6:30PM – Ocean View
Taking the stage at Ocean View, Australian electronic band Cut Copy’s airy synths and sweeping rhythms will make sunset feel like stepping into a warm, electric haze.
The sights may tempt you to grab your phone and capture a favorite moment, but the band’s heady melodies encourage you to get lost in your mind. As the sun sinks into the horizon, let the renowned four-piece guide you from quiet reflection to full-blown euphoria, and leave you glowing long after the final note.
Collabs3000 (Chris Liebing & Speedy J)
4:30-6:00 – City Steps
If you plan to spend your Sunday sunset at the City Steps for Collabs3000, prepare to be consumed. These two techno pioneers—German Schranz architect Chris Liebing and Dutch sonic experimenter Speedy J—drag dancers into a relentless, hypnotic current of industrial techno in its purest form. Acid stabs and metallic textures grind their way through every drop, pulling you deeper with each moment.
Keep your shades on and let your body follow the music however it wants. The air will hum with tension and anticipation. Let time bend as you surrender to the duo’s uncompromising sounds.
Odd Mob
5:30-6:30 – The Palms
Bodies will be shaking, feet will be stomping, hands will be in the air, and golden hour will be glorious when Brisbane-based tech house favorite Odd Mob takes the Palms Stage on Sunday.
Whether it’s a familiar favorite like his 2023 HYPERBEAM hit “Losing Control,” or one of dozens of new IDs making a San Diego debut, the producer and DJ’s infectious tracks are playful, sexy, and impossible to resist. At CRSSD, rising energy, setting sun, and Odd Mob’s famous grooves collide in a high-powered celebration you won’t want to end.
