Swedish House Mafia have released “Lifetime,” the second single following their return to the spotlight. The track features oscillating voice work from Ty Dolla $ign and 070 Shake as the infamous trio adopt a guitar-driven heavy groove.
Tune in to The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon tonight, Monday July 19, to see Swedish House Mafia perform “Lifetime” with both guest vocalists.
“Lifetime” also comes with a music video that continues the story from the video for the first single, “It Gets Better.” In the previous video, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, and Steve Angello were asleep in a mass of intertwined cable, opening their eyes at the end.
Now we see them rise from their rest in a dusty desert landscape at sunset. The cables and the reanimated dancers from before are entirely submerged within the dust…or so it would seem. At the close of the video, the trio come upon a monolith of cable before reaching inside to see what’s beyond.
Last week the ground shook under the world of electronic music with the confirmation of Swedish House Mafia’s resurrection. The announcement included news of an impending tour and their debut album Paradise Lost. Stay tuned for more info on both.
