Swedish House Mafia Will Premiere New Mix On BBC Radio 1

Swedish House Mafia will continue their reemergence this Friday, August 6 as a part of BBC Radio 1‘s Dance Weekend. An annual celebration of all things dance music, Dance Weekend is when Britain’s infamous music channel plays dance music for 70 hours straight over three days. The powerhouse trio will share a brand new mix on the first day of the weekend event.

With a new album already announced and two new singles shared, it’s very likely Swedish House Mafia will unveil more new music in this mix. The singles–”It Gets Better” and “Lifetime“—have been a complete departure from their past style, trading in tear-jerking EDM for dark, refined rhythms. As of now, these two tracks are the only indicators of what to expect from the new chapter in terms of sound. There is a good chance this mix will give further insight into this new chapter.

Dance weekend begins 4AM GMT this Friday, August 6. Swedish House Mafia will perform at 6:30PM GMT that day as the first mix on Around The World With Radio 1, hosted by Pete Tong, Sarah Story and Danny Howard.

You can listen live on the BBC Radio 1 Website. Check out the full lineup for Dance Weekend here.
