Sziget Festival Announces Techno-Heavy Phase One Lineup For 2025

Sziget Festival

Hungary’s Sziget Festival has announced its first lineup phase for 2025.

The six-day camping affair and one of Europe’s largest multi-genre festivals will return to Óbuda Island—nicknamed the “Island of Freedom” for Sziget’s annual return—in Budapest from August 6-11, 2025.

Sziget’s phase one lineup features some of the world’s most sought-after touring artists and a bevy of premier electronic music talent, with melodic techno powerhouse Anyma and respective pop superstars Chappell Roan and Charli XCX set to headline the 2025 event, expected to attract a crowd of close to 400,000 festivalgoers.

Other immediate standouts include French electro titans Justice, Dutch trance legend Armin van Buuren, German minimal tech master Boris Brejcha, and turn-of-the-millennium icons Nelly Furtado and Papa Roach.

Alongside anchoring indie and alternative performances from English five-piece Blossoms and critically acclaimed Belfast hip-hop trio KNEECAP, the rest of Sziget’s 2025 lineup is a house and techno playground.

Further down the bill, anticipated electronic performances will come from revered underground techno selectors like Dixon, Fatima Hajji, Sama’ Abdulhadi, and Young Marco, and house favorites like The Blessed Madonna, Carlita, Hot Since 82, and HoneyLuv.

Melodic frontrunners Adriatique, Bedouin, Korolova, and Kölsch, and hard techno stars 999999999, Brutalismus 3000, and FJAAK will also be central to Sziget’s techno-heavy lineup this year. Check out the full roster below. More names will be added in the coming months.

Sziget Festival, which earned a debut B+ grade on EDM Maniac’s Festival Report Card in 2023, features more than 50 stages of all sizes in addition to wellness, activities, workshops, musical theatre, comedy shows, and more.
