Sziget Festival has just announced the first wave of actors who will travel to Budapest, Hungary, to play at the festival next summer.
Sziget Festival 2024 will run six days from August 7-12, 2024, on the Hungarian capital’s Óbuda Island—nicknamed the “Island of Freedom”—where it welcomed over 400,000 attendees from more than 100 different countries last year.
Announced yesterday, the phase one lineup features four headliners so far, including dance music heavyweights Fred Again.. and Martin Garrix, in addition to vocalist Sam Smith and UK grime rapper Stormzy.
Another 35 acts have been announced for Sziget 2024, including many electronic artists such as Four Tet, Dom Dolla, Honey Dijon, and Nia Archives.
The roster continues with even more eclectic house and techno players like Richie Hawtin, ARTBAT, Octo Octa & Eris Drew, Ellen Allien, Chloé Caillet, AMÉMÉ, and more. Check out the complete phase one lineup below.
“Everyone will be offered a strong and exciting selection of music, regardless of genre,” Sziget CEO Tamás Kádár said in a press release. “This announcement, which is only the first ‘package’ for now, shows that next year Sziget will also feature big world stars, current artists, and newly discovered musical specialties.”
In addition to hosting more than 50 stages of all sizes, Sziget Festival—which earned a B+ on EDM Maniac’s Festival Report Card last year—also offers several wellness activities, workshops, and musical theatre and comedy shows.
